Just in time for the summer comes... a winter album! Yes, Lone Wolf (aka Paul Marshall) has simulated the feeling you get when the sun goes down and the leaves lie decaying on the park floor for this, his second album.
Luckily, it's also the kind of melancholy acoustic record you can wrap yourself up to seek shelter from the heartbreak/hangover/unspecified agony if you so wish. 'The Devil & I' is decorated with gently caressed pianos, cellos and of course the voice of Mr Marshall- which is deep and tender but by no means foreboding.
To conclude then, think a more minimalist Mumford, a less transsexual Antony and a more gothic Garfunkel - pretty on the ears but absorbing on the tears (my masterful wordplay never ceases to amaze me).
