Chicken-neck dancing and winkle pickers at the ready: here come Thee Attacks (yes, that is an extra e), Denmark's more refined, less jackal-like answer to the Hives. Sartorial sharpness? Tick. Scissor-kicking riffs? Tick. References to sex and the summertime? Tick tick tick boom! Thee Attacks are suited and booted and set to defile your daughters.

Don't be fooled by the snarky title though: the album's bags o' fun, frolicking as it does with devil-may-care, flower-in-your-hair abandon. Employing Justin Watson – The White Stripes, The Datsuns - to twiddle knobs was a smart move too. He imbues the Kinks and Stones clamour with a modern polish, a depth that warrants repeat spins.

And credit to the band: they entrusted Watson with some cracking material to screw around with. 'Love In Disguise' moves apace with surfy, cannoning drums and rip-snorting guitar leads. And the pop hooks, there's heaps of them, buried deep into the heart of Thee Attacks.

'Le Freak' will not just get your hips grinding to its raucous boogie, but have you chanting along to its leery chorus refrain too. Rock 'n' roll as it should be: slick, brash and musicianly.
