  3. Revival Tour announced

Filed in Fashion at 10.33am on 07 October 11

American denim designers Lee have announced their support of The Revival Tour, which is making its first steps across Europe this season.

The tour, which is the brainchild of Chuck Ragan, a former member of U.S. punk band Hot Water Music, brings together such artists as Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthems), Dan Adriano (Alkaline) and Dave Hause (The Loved Ones), accompanied by Jon Gaunt on fiddle and Joe Ginsberg on upright bass.

They will join forces to perform acoustically in venues throughout Europe, starting in Bristol on 27th September and ending in Portsmouth on 17th October, with a one-off acoustic set at the Lee Store in Carnaby Street on Saturday 15th October at 2pm.

"The most important part of The Revival Tour is the camaraderie and the way people are drawn to each other whether they’re playing a mandolin, singing, playing fiddle or there to see the show,” says Ragan.

“We live and breathe this music and I think it’s just a natural instinct for people who believe and live music to want to share that with other like-minded musicians".

For AW11, Original Penguin begins a new chapter in its 56 year history with the launch of the first ever denim line, showcased with a video look-book featuring trumpeter Jay Phelps. The street casting focused on finding men to personify the four introductory styles: Jack as the Rockabilly, Tom as the Rogue, Davey as the Heritage guy and Colin as the Pioneer.

The straight fit Rockabilly style - Sitting below the waist, with a long rise, straight and full through seat and thigh. This jean offers a relaxed leg, a straight fit

    image
The skinny fit Rogue style - Sitting at the hip, narrow through the seat and thigh with a very low rise cut – this is the skinniest fit.

    image
The slim fit Heritage style - Sitting just below the waist, this fit is slender through the seat and thigh with a low rise. Slim leg for a slim fit.

The carrot fit Pioneer style - Sitting low at the hips, with a dropped crotch, regular thigh tapering to a narrow leg opening.
