Bali is becoming a hot spot for creatives, designers and entrepreneurs who are keen to get involved with the paradisiacal lifestyle. Akira Garton, is one of the area's greatest new talents.....yes, that is Akira modelling! What a beaut! Her website, The Little Corner Store, is a treasure trove of goodies. Akira designs for independent designers in Bali called FlurElise, which is available on her online store and she also has her own line called INDAH. For the past month Artrocker has been obsessed with pieces such as the studded corset tops (by which I might add are hand made), tie dye dresses and gladiator skirts (hurry these little gems are in the sale!)

There is something for all tastes at The Little Corner Store, and the best thing is it's amazing value! Akira has made beautiful designer clothing accessible for everyone......from Bali with love!

Akira is the one to watch in fashion. At the moment, she has a "Lust for Leopard". Please see the following as an extract from the lady herself written especially for Artrocker;

LUST FOR LEOPARD

As an ultra spirited 15 year old, I always knew the power of leopard prints. It was the itsiest bitsiest vintage bikini in the most perfect brown & gold toned leopard print, straight from the 70's in my fave vintage shop 'Bobby Dazzler' in Sydney that kicked off the obsession.

Bo Derek would have shaven off those hair braids just to get a chance squeeze into this stringed bad boy, it was that fiery hot. Painfully, all I had to trade for this gem was a measly few dollars of scraped together pocket money, ugh there was nothing I could do to make that baby mine!

Fast forward 6 or so years, and I am now a little hell bent on unearthing some seriously sexy leopard prints (tigers and zebras just don't quite cut it for that sex on legs feeling that leopard can exude in all its 80's excess). From the depths of Colombo in Sri Lanka where I discovered authentic 80's blue lycras to the almost perfect vintage muddled brown print in down-town Kuta - the hunt has been on!

This month we're doing a hot grey shade in The Sweet Escape Range.Vintage cotton grey fabric in the one shoulder, and a grey lycra blend for the 3⁄4 sleeve which brings flashbacks of 80s glam in an easy to wear style.

The essential smock is being re-created in a few different leopard tones in the Lulu range. As for the authentic vintage finds, I've unearthed some really hot high-waisted tights in a brown/black blend which is sure to get you shaking what yo mumma gave ya in a grunged out 90's kinda way, and there’s one very fiery corset style one-piece swimsuit that’ll be in the Ebay shop from 17 June. I'm starting to get a little too excited about the production of some amazing leopard body con esk skirts and bohemian capes that are going to be in store in two months time!

Lots of Peace & Loving from Bali !! xxx
