SLEEVENOTES BY JOHN AND JEHN
With new technologies music often becomes like pollution: horrible mp3 compression, ringtones , Lady fuckin' Gaga, tv adverts, Kings of Leon ,daytime radio, myspace endless void, Kings of Leon... Silence is the essential key to ask yourself: what do I really want to listen right now?
When you think about it, only very few musical artists dare to use silence in their music today: it's not radio or MP3 compression friendly. When we find an artist who dares to use this, we generally stick with them, we go to see their music again and again. we feel respected, we feel good, we love it and we conscientiously don't know why .
But unconsciously we are hypnotised by such beauty, in fact we are hypnotised by their silence . This is a short list of what we think are the best artists using silence.
