SLEEVENOTES

1. THE LOW ANTHEM - CHARLIE DARWIN
A very quiet song for the beginning. This band from Rhode Island make something sacred in their music. The fantastic voice seems to come from another time.

2. TIM BUCKLEY - WINGS
Very hard choosing a song from his first album. I think in 1966, for the people who listened to his songs for the first time, it was a celestial moment.

3. THE PASSIONS - I'M IN LOVE WITH A GERMAN FILMSTAR
A hypnotic song with the very sensual Barbara Gogan's vocals. One of our favourite 80's song. A real class "one hit wonder".

4. YOUNG MARBLE GIANTS - EATING NODDEMIX
A real UFO! At the beginning of the technological new romantic area. They make songs with a bass, a Rickenbacker and a cheap organ drumbox. Brilliant. This band is out of time.

5. WIRE - THE 15TH
A monument!! The atmosphere here is highly emotional original and beautiful. When Colin Newman sings "providing, deciding, it was soon there" we want to loop it!

6. EMPEROR MACHINE - REPETITION
We love this band! Their drums and their basses sounds so good! A touch of Krautrock, a touch of electro with a funky style also. The other band of Andrew Meecham, "Chicken Lips" has made for a long time the best remixes in the world! Here it's a really good cover of David Bowie.

7. ART OF TONES - CALL THE SHOTS
It's not because Mr Art of Tones (aka LLORCA) is a friend and he lives now in south of France that we choose this track! It's only becuase it is good, and the work of this man is one of the classiest of the moment.

8. CAN - MOONSHAKE
It's not original to say again that Can is one of the best "band of ideas" in history, but they explore a lot of styles to create what we can call 'the modern sound'. Nobody can sound like Can. However their discography is a source of inspiration for a lot of artists

9. TRACEY THORN - GRAND CANYON (ADA REMIX)
The queen! Her voice! Since the first singles from EBTG what Tracey sings is a source of inspiration for us. Her voice is a gift and she uses it for very good things like this track, Grand Canyon, with a fantastic Ada Remix. We dream of working for her.

10. KALABRESE - MAKELOVEDISCO
When Caro plays this track it's always the sexiest moment of the set! Very very good track with a fantastic and hypnotic spirit. The voice is great, the progression very exciting!
