Jukebox Chatter with… Dave Prowse of Japandroids

We joined Japandroids midway through a five month tour to find out exactly what they've been up to...

JAPANDROIDSWhere are you and what was the first thing you did this morning?
We're in Cardiff, UK. So far all I've done today is interviews, but we're about to go soundcheck right now. First show of the tour is tonight!

'The House That Heaven Built' is, we believe, a celebratory jig. What are you celebrating in 2012 and how will you go about it?
Well it looks like we're going to spend most of 2012 on the road, where every night is Saturday night.

What was the most memorable track to record on Celebration Rock and why?
Evil's Sway. We worked on that song for a long time and tried recording it numerous times and made numerous changes to it along the way. The evolution of that song parallels the evolution of the album in a lot of ways. We knew it was pretty good, but we kept working on it because we knew it could be improved. It took a lot longer to get it done than we expected, but we're very happy with the end product.

Your European tour swings past Amsterdam next week - are you a fan of the city's various, erm, delicacies?
Amsterdam is a great music town and the Paradiso is an amazing venue. That's going to be a very fun night.

Finally you have one credit on the jukebox. What's it gonna be?
