New Blood Festival interviews #3: The History of Apple PieHi folks, how did you feel the show went?

We were really happy with it. We played here before with The Drums and were a lot tighter than we were then.

What do you think of the festival itself?

It's really great - we are big fans of all the bands, especially Younghusband who are friends of ours so it’s great to play with them certainly.

How would you best describe your sound in a sentence?

Noisy aggressive guitars and female melodic vocals.

Is there one band in particular that is an influence for the band as a whole?

Sonic Youth would be the one for us as a band certainly.

Can You give us an exclusive piece of news regarding the band?

We are going to record a session for East Village radio with a really great guy but I cannot say who yet so that will be a surprise for everyone. Stay tuned on that front!
