New Blood Festival interviews #4: The Tambourines
Artrocker reporter George Cochran has been hanging out at this month's New Blood Festival, shooting the breeze with the bands. Here, he talks to uncompromising indie rockers The Tambourines
Hi guys how did you feel the show went?
It was good it went really well although we had a few issues with the sound at the beginning of the set which was slightly frustrating but such things happen, especially when everybody is using the same gear.
What do you think of the festival itself?
I think it’s fantastic and we love lots of the bands playing such as Sulk, Toy, and Younghusband.
How would you best describe your sound in a sentence?
That’s a very difficult question to be honest. What I would say is that in terms of our ethic we want to make sure that we can be proud of the art we made when we look back at it. We shall not compromise!
What are the bands movements for the rest of 2012?
Were working on putting out a single soon and then hopefully an album later in the summer. After that we’ll be doing some touring around Europe I believe.
