I remember when we first came to London on a press trip after our first record, and the biggest thing we were saying then was 'we just don't wanna be cool!' It seemed to us, especially with these London NME bands, that it was all about being a cool rock and roll person. And you never want to feel like you're cool because then that would be comfortable - and you'd just start to replicate yourself. It's like those visual artists who have this style, and then make 3,000 paintings of it! Being cool boxes you in!

The Kabeedies generally regard themselves as 'uncool ' simply because they have Fab in the band which pretty much scuppers any possibility of them being cool!
