Not Cool Week: My Clothes Aren’t Cool

As you’ve probably guessed, this week we’re pulling apart rock ‘n roll’s obsession with ‘Cool’ limb by blood-spurting limb.

In this article, we’ll be asking Editors and Bombay Bicycle Club what distinctly unfashionable clothes they’ve been hiding from the glare of the media…

As my band mates will probably testify to, I really love to wear short shorts. Preferably rugby shorts but any will do really, I find them liberating and I'm not afraid to say it. Perhaps this will lead to a shoot in Attitude -- one can dream. I also have this very lame t-shirt that that has two arrows pointing to your arms and says "Got your tickets to the gun show?". This item is for around the house use only and it was a gift from a friend who insists I wear it. I'd like to point out that I have never referred to my arms as guns.

We all pretty much wear slippers on the tour bus. We’re comfortable… we don’t care! Would I wear them in public? No! Hence they’re slippers! But then again one man’s cool is another man’s un-cool: Orlando from The Maccabees wore slippers on stage, and he looked pretty fresh. It’s just how you want to style yourself, isn’t it? As for my slippers, they’re brown, leather and they score 10/10 for comfort.
