Pure Love Q&A
Guitarist Jim Carroll talks to us about his new project with Frank Carter, Pure Love, and also gives us a playlist to mull over
You've been playing a lot this year, how does it feel to take Pure Love out on the road?
It's been great so far. We have 16 shows under our belt and it feels like we've been playing together for years. The guys we have backing us up have done an amazing job live and, more importantly, we all get along great. It's been a blast and we're looking forward to future endeavors.
How has the past year of recording and writing been, feel like you've reached any milestones?
It's been non-stop milestones personally. Frank and I set out to do this band with some loose goals in mind and we've accomplished a good amount of those and more.
Have your influences changed for this project compared to your previous ones?
Of course.
Compared to your previous works this is relatively softer, was that a conscious decision?
No. Although I don't know which previous works you're referring to. Musically speaking, this isn't really new territory for me.
The debut album is coming up in early 2013 what should fans and soon-to-be fans be expecting from the record?
Don't expect anything. Listen with an open mind and maybe you will find new music to fall in love with.
Any surprises waiting in the wings for us?
Robots.
