Shock of the New: Holy State

Shock of the New gets ready to get heavy with Leeds' most psychedelically groovesome hardcore act, Heavy State

Holy StateYOU MAY NOT HAVE HEARD OF:
Holy State, from Leeds via Norwich.

IN A NUTSHELL, THEY'RE A BIT LIKE:
Gritty, post punks with a psychedelic edge. Or in their own words: "a radical change, away from the rhythmic, machine-like motion, into a smooth-flowing and surreal trip".

FROM WHAT WE CAN TELL:

Following an arena support-slot with Biffy Clyro, the 'State are now gearing up to leave burn-marks on 2012 with their debut album - on the legendary hardcore/alternative label Brew Records. They've also been shot by Nirvana photographer Steve Gullick - not bad eh?

IT'S ONLY A FIRST DATE, BUT WE'RE THINKING:
Of catching their next live show at The Macbeth, London - on Wednesday 18 January.
