A.HumanCurrently on the road with La Shark, the band with whom they're sharing a split single (and single of the month at that, in next week's Artrocker Magazine), our corresponence with A Human begins appropriately with the band sending back fragmented text messages from their tour bus.

With no sign of a laptop in sight, the band eventually decides to take the postmodern interview route - and communicates with us by tapping away at their iPhone. That's showbusiness!

ARTROCKER: 'TAKE ME HOME' IS A CLASSIC POP SONG. DID YOU SIT DOWN AND THINK "WE'RE GOING TO WRITE A CLASSIC POP SONG?"

We wrote 'Take Me Home' during a writing residency at an isolated haunted house in the north of England. If paranormal activity is conducive to writing popular music then this is evidence in support of it.

THOSE FEMALE BACKING VOCALS COMPLIMENT THE CHORUS REALLY NICELY TOO. HOW DID THE COMPOSITION COME ABOUT?

We wanted to use more of Kay's vocals as they compliment David's. We tried it with this song. It worked so it's stuck.

DO YOU STILL ENJOY PLAYING IT, OR WILL IT BECOME LIKE RADIOHEAD'S CREEP AND START TO PISS YOU OFF?

We haven't had the chance to play that much recently so this tour is a good opportunity to play this and our other new songs. If we ever get bored of playing this song we'll know we've done something right at least. I sympathise with Radiohead as most of their songs are better than Creep.

YOU'RE TOURING WITH LA SHARK. HOW DO YOU KNOW THEM?

We've all toured or played with the Brazilian musician Cibelle. We thought getting together would be a good idea. We compliment each other.

WHY DO THEY GET NAKED SO OFTEN?

They're show offs.

HAVE THERE BEEN ANY INTIMACIES BETWEEN THE TWO BANDS IFYOUKNOWWHATIMEAN?

What happens on tour stays on tour.

WHAT'S THE NEXT BIG PROJECT, FOLLOWING THIS TOUR FOR YOU?

More recording, more releasing, more playing. We'd love to take the A.Human / La Shark Tour to Europe. We'll see how that goes.

AND FINALLY, WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU CALLED A.HUMAN?

There are hundreds of reasons. It seemed like a good idea!
