Tracks Of The Decade - Part Three - 2005/2006
Artrocker Magazine's Editor-in-chief Tom Artrocker breaks down his tracks of the decade moving on to the years 2005/2006
By now the difference is being felt. It's interesting to note that there's only one USA act here, and that's Gnarls Barkely. It's plain to see that the lessons we needed to learn have sunk in, The Strokes and White Stripes have kicked the UK scene up the arse and, with the help of their big-booted aide-memoir we've rediscovered the joy of Pop. UK Hip Hop is on the rise, albeit briefly, and Artrock is the sound of the day courtesy of Futureheads, Maximo Park, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys and a great wave of new British talent.
