Unwrapped: TV Buddhas // No More Neighbourhood'NO MORE NEIGHBORHOOD'

"We wrote the song during our US tour in 2010. Something had changed in the environment of touring in the US since last time we were there in 2006 and 2007. The enthusiasm to promote underground music anywhere, using the tools that were popular back then like Myspace etc, seemed to have dissolved and instead there was a hard shell of apathy, both on the promoters side and both on the audience's side, the latter becoming more selective, judgmental and generally less spontanious and emotionally involved, when it came to their participation in the underground scene.

"The song talks about this feeling of loss of youth, small town kids moving to big cities in search of their dreams, mid-west America emptying into the coasts, and in the substratum, the entire concept of a middle class art form, like the touring band, becoming less and less the focus of a new culture, which seems to be in a constant race to 'make it' in a collapsing economy".
