Young Knives Tour Diary: Part Eight
In which the Young Knives go searching for a mythical cheeseless pizza in Bournemouth...
Bournemouth - 25th May
Bournemouth was pretty good, the audience were into it and we played pretty well and I walked off stage not feeling embarrassed or like killing myself. Which for me is a good thing.
Henry, by his own admission, drank a bit too much rum before going on, to try and counteract the effects of a cold that he has caught off his son. This meant that he was quite excitable but perhaps not as technically virtuosic as usual. Maybe I had too much rum too but I would never admit it in front of the rest of the guys.
Most of today was spent walking round Bournemouth trying to find a vegan meal for our merch guy/driver/tech. In the end he had to ask in a pizza place if they could do him a pizza with no cheese. This was the cause of a lot of confusion.
I'm glad I'm not vegan. I don't like the idea of having to search for food. I much prefer to just eat whatever is the nearest and easiest meal.
After the gig I fell asleep in the van. Woke up at my house.
