New Blood Festival 2012 - Night Three ReviewedThe New Blood Festival kicked back into action this week with Moscow Youth Club leading the pack. The synth duo - who were accompanied on stage by the now obligatory laptop, might not have had their set run as smoothly as could have been expected, but their tunes featured moments of quality which took on the air of a mix-tape mash-up.

Continuing the theme of energetic electro-dudes, Plant Plants stepped things up a notch, albeit to slight indifference from the haircuts 'n heels in the crowd. Luckily, Hook And The Twin re-ignite both imaginations and audience enthusiasm: their set just got better and better, and I could have easily watched another five or six songs with my eyes glued. The highlight of their set was 'We’re so Light', an effortless epic of indie disco perfection, played with care and commitment.

The night ended with the synth-smithery of Visions Of Trees, who despite some slight awkwardness delivered a gothic-edged set with a bracing vocal performance. Looking forwards to seeing what the New Blood Festival throws at us next...
