Artrocker is excited to welcome back Icebreaker – the series we devised whilst enjoying our tipple of choice; an ice cold Jägermeister, where bands meet someone out of the ordinary.... a person they’ve always been fascinated to meet.
For the first-ever Icebreaker we arranged for Hawk Eyes to not only meet boxing legend Frank Bruno but we also got big Frank singing backing vocals with them live on stage. Watch that HERE For Icebreaker II we took Turbowolf on a trip to the Isle of Wight to meet David Icke in his front room for some deep and captivating spiritual conversation. Watch that HERE.
And now it's now time for Icebreaker III where Ed McRae from our favourite post-hardcore five-some Your Demise meets former model (literally!) French international and Premiership footballing legend turned actor, wine maker and pundit, David Ginola, as they trade tales of musical talent and ball skills… on me head son, but mind the hair!
This unlikely combination of interviewer and interviewee certainly produced a new and interesting insight into David Ginola. Don't believe us ? Well here are just a couple of quotes from Mr Ginola himself taken from this exclusive video interview: -
“In the car before the game I’d listen to Led Zep, Clash – I love the track ‘Magnificent Seven’”
“Football takes you to many places, and many places you’d never expect. I had to open the Netaid gig at Wembley with Iman, David Bowie’s and I was shitting myself. It was incredible”
“A football club is a family and you share moments with everyone involved in it… I want to be back in the game because of that and create that kind of atmosphere”
“I love [Spurs]. I love the people. I love the stadium. I love the shirt. It would be an honour to go back there as the manager”
