BBC to celebrate radio milestone
90 years of transmission to be celebrated across the BBC.
On 14 November 14, at 5:33pm, all of the BBC's stations will play the same three-minute package - marking the exact 90 years mark since the first broadcast.
The transmission will be on the theme of 'the future' and as well as featuring recorded messages from listeners around the UK will also be mixed together with an original piece of music by Damon Albarn ('cause he doesn't do enough as it is). The anniversary transmission will go out on 60 stations to a global audience of 120 million people.
