Best Coast: “no bad blood” following drummer split

Best Coast singer Bethany Consetino has taken to Facebook to quash rumours that their split with drummer Ali Koehler was less-than-amicable.

Consetino explained that Best Coast was a two piece, implying that Koehler had not been an 'official' member, while stating that there was "no bad blood between any of us".

She was responding to the former Vivian Girls drummer's suggestion last week that it had not been her choice to leave the band.

Consetino explained: "Best Coast has and always will be Bobb and I. No matter who has joined the band on tour, whatever line-up ensues, the band is simply the two of us. That said, these past two years have been full of nothing but the greatest of memorable adventures and I am so grateful that my friend Ali was a part of them when we were on tour".

She added: "One last thing: For those of you who are assuming things, Ali was informed two months ago that our live line-up was changing. There is no bad blood between any of us".
