Bowie man soundtracks Halo 4
XBox game to release latest soundtrack in full
Neil Davidge has worked with the likes of Massive Attack, David Bowie, Snoop Dog, Damon Albarn, Primal Scream and Mos Def, but now he's done something a bit different.
His soundtrack to XBox game Halo 4 is set for a full release on October 22, and is being pitched as a sort of orchestral/electronic opus, so maybe like Jean Michelle Jarre?
The Halo games have sold over 43 million units worldwide, and with a revenue of $3 billion, it's nice to see Microsoft putting some of that into getting some amazing music done.
Along with a huge array of versions (CD, digital, extended digital version, Special Edition 2-Disc Box Set for £49.99) there'll also be a remix version out, which looks promosing:
