Cee-Lo is criticised for singing more religion-friendly lyrics to 'Imagine'
Cee-Lo Green has incurred criticism from both John Lennon fans and atheists, after changing the lyrics to 'Imagine' during a televised New Year's Eve show in the US.
Green changed the lyrics to the line; "Imagine there's no countries/ It isn't hard to do /Nothing to kill or die for / and no religion too"
He amended the final lyric to: "and all religion is true."
After being criticised by the song's fans, Cee-Lo Green took to Twitter, where he responded: "Yo I meant no disrespect by changing the lyric guys!"
He added: "I was trying to say a world were u could believe what u wanted that's all."
