Franz Ferdinand fans clash with Brazilian cops
High audience numbers meant fans were locked outside the show - and tried to scale the walls
Franz Ferdinand fans in the Brazilian city of Sao Paolo came face to face with the pepper spray of the law this week.
High audience numbers at the show on 27 May meant that numerous fans were locked out once the venue had reached its capacity.
Frustrated, fans tried to climb the walls of the Independence Park venue, which led to cops spraying them with gas.
Later on, Franz Ferdinand singer Alex Kapranos tweeted: "Hope any fans caught outside the gig tonight were OK and weren't hurt in this collision with the police I'm hearing about."
