Futureheads, Maximo Park contribute songs to East Africa fundraiser LP
"It's an amazing cause" says Paul Smith of the record which will raise cash for the humanitarian crisis in East Africa
The Futureheads, Let's Buy Happiness and Maximo Park frontman Paul Smith have all lent their music to a new fundraising album called NExEA.
Sales of the record will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee's East Africa Crisis Appeal.
Said Paul Smith of his motivation:
"I saw the shocking footage from Eastern Africa on the news like many others will have done and I felt pretty helpless. I'm glad I was approached to contribute something because it's an amazing cause. I hope my slightly dodgy demo might have enough charm to sit alongside the strong line-up of other North Eastern musicians and encourage people to buy a copy".
