GlasvegasGlasvegas finished their V Festival set in Chelmsford early on Saturday (20 August) after hostile members of the audience repeatedly threw bottles at them, according to Loaded magazine.

The band played four songs before stopping to argue with the bottle-throwing faction of the crowd. When the abuse continued, the band walked off stage.

Loaded Tweeted:

"Audience bottled band [Glasvegas]" They continued: "Too many bottles. Had a ruck. Walked off."

It's been insinuated that the band should not have been positioned between Katy B and Chase and Status at the event. Glasvegas' management put out a statement which included the following:

"The line up of the Arena Stage is very different from 'rock n'roll', but it really doesn't what matter what genre. Glasvegas respect this and will always give the crowd 100%. All we want is for everyone, including the band, to have a good time and go home safely."
