What's the biggest fish in the world? I looked it up, the answer is Whale Shark...apparently.
No, make that "allegedly". I dispute this. I believe that the largest fish in the world is in fact the halibut. Not any halibut of course, I have myself come across halibut no larger than a side plate, but I am convinced that there are halibut out there that could swallow your average whale shark like a soggy amuse bouche. I contend that there are halibut out there as big as aircraft carriers, down in the unpenetrated depths where the eye of man is yet to swim.
And here's why. You see, the halibut has no hormone to control its growth, the sky's the limit and, as a result, nobody knows how big the biggest halibut is. There may be one somewhere the size of the Isle Of Wight, there may be a halibut the size of the UK, we may all be living on the back of a giant halibut - how about that whale shark? So, until such time as we've scoured the ocean depths I'll have none of this whale shark
business, all future entries must say that the whale shark might be the largest fish in the world but in all likelihood it's the halibut. In the meantime it's just another example of the internet not being the source of all knowledge. I looked at seven different sites and not one of them mentioned the halibut. For shame.
And nobody, least of all me, knows how big each issue of Artrocker will turn out to be, it grows like topsy every month and, no longer restricted by printed pages bursts its banks on a regular basis. The new issue is no exception. It's out today on all good devices.
Artrocker and the halibut, neither have a hormone to restrict growth. Nobody knows how big the biggest halibut is but we do know how big the latest Artrocker is.
Big.
