Jay-Z is almost certainly NOT releasing his memoirs…
Jay-Z will release a book decoding his stand-out verses in November...
With the news that Jay-Z has allowed a book entitled 'Decoded' to be released in November has come a flood of stories indicating that said book will be his memoirs, I have reason to believe that 'Decoded' will not in fact be his memoirs, but a book decoding various Jay-Z verses, several of which feature subliminal shots, metaphors and inside references that even the most die-hard fan struggles to comprehend.
Jay-Z's memoirs were completed in 2003 [Jay-Z's most recent retirement] by music journalist Dream Hampton but Jay-Z put a stop to the book's release, stating that he didn't feel comfortable giving away so much of himself at that point in his life. That book was named 'The Black Book' and as recently as 2009 Jay-Z revealed that he still didn't intend releasing the autobiography.
I could be wrong, but I'm almost certainly not.
