Karen O’s opera is named ‘Stop The Virgens’

Singer also reveals that the other Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be taking part in the "psycho-opera"

Yeah Yeah Yeahs' supercool frontwoman Karen O has revealed that her opera will be called Stop The Virgens.

She has also stated that the rest of her band will be involved in the production, with Nick Zimmer as co-writer on some of the music, and Brian Chase set to play live in the orchestra.

The singer told Pitchfork: "I'm hoping to create an original live experience, it should feel like a psychedelic ride laced with catharsis."

Stop The Virgens runs from 12-22 October at St Anne's Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.
