The Rolling Stones' voodoo-boned guitarist Keith Richards has stepped in to save an Isle of Wight radio station, which was put out of whack when its transmitter was struck by lightening this summer.
Angel Radio received a cheque for £3,000 to repair their transmitter.
Said the station's director Bev Webster to The Sun:
"We thought the cheque was a joke. But accountants confirmed it was the real Keith Richards. I've written to say thanks. It is so exciting to think he might be a fan."
