Kickstarter to hit the UK
Fan based fundraising platform expanding in the Autumn

Kickstarter gives bands and artists the opportunity to post up campaigns and rally their fans to fund it, with the reward being exclusive access and products. And the service is arriving in the UK this autumn, meaning that British creators and entrepreneurs will be able to utilise the platform to raise funding and offer premium pre-sales to core fans from a UK-base.
Other services like Pledge Music are currently on the market, but Kickstarter has the highest profile.
Most recently, the Ouya developed Android-based games console went past their $2.3m funding aim on Kickstarter in the US.
