Laurent Blanc bans Dr Dre’s headphones from France team bus
Of course Hip-Hop is to blame for France's appalling World Cup. How could it not be?
I love finding music news in Four Four Two. I found a really good story about John Lydon not wanting to sit next to Matt Lucas at Arsenal games now I have this story about Dr Dre's really expensive headphones being banned from the France team's bus.
Footballers really went for the 'Beats by Dre' headphones, they're just expensive enough that they'd all want a pair, apparently they became a symbol in France of the players who refused to train at the World Cup and have been accused of blocking the players from their public. It's not just Laurent Blanc's France team either, Marseilles have banned them, with club President Jean-Claude Dassier telling football bible L'Eqipe: "We need football to come down from its ivory tower"
