Laura Gibson has signed up to City Slang to release a new album, La Grande in January 2012.

Gibson is reported to be playing all the instruments herself at various points of the record, which include acoustic and electric guitars, bass, percussion, piano, pump organ, vibraphone, marimba and a marching drum.

Details of a full UK tour are pending, but for now here's a sneak peak of what the new material has to offer.
