Monotonix final show ends in anarchy
The band are shut down by authorities at climax of final gig
Tel Aviv's finest garage rockers Monotonix saw their last ever London show descend into madness last night, as a mass stage invasion, gear theft and PA malfunctions all occurred simultaneously.
The band, whose stage shows are notorious for rarely taking place on-stage, played for just thirty minutes before the venue bouncers and authorities pulled the plug on the PA, while rioting crowd members appeared to be looting drum parts and shaking them above their heads in a trophy-like manner.
The concert at London's Cargo then turned into a tribal percussion section, with audience members playing the skeletal remains of the drum kit while the band walked around kissing and hugging their fans.
Check Artrocker.TV later in the week for a full interview with the band.
