Napster returns as legal streaming service
The original file-sharing sensation has returned as a legal-streaming service to rival Spotify
The original file-sharing site Napster has relaunched in the UK as a legal music streaming service to rival Spotify.
The site was originally brought down in 2001 after a series of lawsuits. In 2003 it launched again as a legal download service, before fading into the backdrop over the years.
The 2012 re-branding aims to give paying subscribers access to 15,000,000 songs. It now charges £5 a month for unlimited streaming on home computers, and £10 for mobile devices.
