New Wavves album ‘King Of The Beach’ streamed online

While UK fans will have to wait another month and a day [August 2nd] for Wavves' new album 'King Of The Beach', it has already been released in the US. Why, in this age of downloading, do records not come out the same day in every country? There's no reason. They want "lead in time" which is code for "consumers are idiots and we don't trust them" and "we think we can get on Jonathan Ross' radio show if we buy his producer a fish supper". Luckily for UK based Wavves fans, the album has been made available as a stream on FatPossum.com which, if it was directly Universal, Sony or Warner Brothers would have had an IP blocker for people outside of the US. But it's not. HURRAH!

Wavves of course will be in London in July ("lead in time") for two special gigs including a headline date at the 1234 Festival on the 24th.
