Oxjam returns to Shoreditch

Chrity fundraiser to hit various venues on October 21

Oxjam returns to ShoreditchOxfam believes that the injustice of poverty in the world can and must be overcome. In 2006 Oxfam launched the first ever Oxjam Takeover - a music festival made up of hundreds of events around the UK in October. All Oxjam events are organised entirely by volunteers who know and love their local music scene. Since it’s inception 3,500 events have taken place, showcasing 45,500 musicians, with over 900,000 people attending and over £1.8 million raised - all in aid of Oxfam.

Bands set to play this years Shoredtich version of the event include Purple Ferdinand, Bright Light Bright Light, Mz Bratt and loads more.

Wristbands are £10 with all proceeds going to Oxfam. Venues include Boxpark, Concrete, Mother Bar, Queen of Hoxton and the Bedroom Bar.
