Paul McCartney’s opera slagged by critics
Ocean's Kingdom is described as " forgettable, bland" and even "occasionally incompetent"!
Paul McCartney has felt the sting of New York's art critics following the staging of his opera 'Ocean's Kingdom'.
Fresh from slagging Bono and The Edge's Spiderman stage production, the critics smelt fresh blood and went for the Macca.
According to the New York Times, the plays is "in no way an important addition to the corpus of ballet music".
They also damned it as "forgettable, bland, thin and occasionally incompetent".
