Perfume Genius announces European tour including SWN Festival date

Earlier in the summer, Seattle native Mike Hadreas, aka Perfume Genius, delivered one of the albums of the year in the form of his debut LP 'Learning' – an astonishing, 30-minute compendium of loss and sorrow, borne out of a life lived precipitously close to the edge. Here was a series of breathtakingly stark, achingly beautiful tracks that, in aggregate, heralded the arrival of an entirely unique and powerful new talent.

Hadreas then followed that up with a clutch of sold out shows in Paris, Berlin, London and New York which further cemented his status as one of the most special performers in recent years, with Hadreas forming an unusually intense intimacy with the audience which often moved and unsettled in equal measure. Now, a tour across the UK in October (including the SWN festival) will give audiences who missed out the first time round the opportunity to see this singular artist for themselves, and converts the chance to revel in his delicate tales of hope and heartbreak once again.
