Pete Doherty confirms new solo album
The Libertine is under pressure to fulfil his contractual obligation with EMI
Pete Doherty has confirmed to the NME that a new solo album is on the way, not that he seems to be especially smitten with the idea.
"I keep getting told that we're under obligation to fulfil the contract with EMI," he told the paper, "so we're looking to put a new album together.
He added: "[The producer's] name is Adem Hilmi and he works at Slaughterhouse Studios in Harlsden. He's taken my hard drive with a view to putting this album together. It'll be twelve songs".
