PiL to headline new music festival in Medway Towns
The Wedding Present also lined up to play Music Event One
Medway record label The Preservation Society Presents… have announced a new music festival in Rochester called Music Event One (ME1), set to take place on 28 July.
Following the lead of the Camden Crawl, the festival will boast several stages in venues along Rochester High Street, playing host to bands during the day and into the early evening.
From there the action will move to Rochester Castle where wristband holders will be able to watch John Lydon’s PiL - a band who turned down the Jubilee gig - play in the castle grounds.
Lydon & co will be supported by C86 legends The Wedding Present and completing the line up on the castle stage are Medway’s brightest hopes Theatre Royal and Kids Unique.
Wristbands for the main concert are £26 available from Ticketmaster and will also give you entry to all the High Street venues. Those not wanting to catch PiL will also be able to pay on the door of some of the High Street stages and some will be free.
