R.E.M’s ‘Everybody Hurts’ is “most depressing song of all time”

Leonard Cohen and Celine Dion also feature in 'saddest songs of all time' poll

R.E.M.REM's 'Everybody Hurts' has been voted the most depressing tune of all time, in a new poll.

Theatrical producer David King set out to discover more about "the power of music", asking people about when and how often they've been brought to tears by tunes.

Here are the top-to-bottom results of the saddest songs ever (according to the good Doctor's findings).
