REM’s Peter Buck releases debut solo track

R.E.M guitarist Peter Buck has put the first fruits of his solo material into cyberspace.
The track, titled '10 Million BC', can be heard by visiting the Slicing Up Eyeballs Soundcloud page.
R.E.M split up in September of 2011, saying: "To our fans and friends: As REM, and as lifelong friends and co-conspirators, we have decided to call it a day as a band.
"We walk away with a great sense of gratitude, of finality, and of astonishment at all we have accomplished," the statement continued. "To anyone who ever felt touched by our music, our deepest thanks for listening."
