Richard HawleyRichard Hawley has spoken out about the lack of political debate in the UK, arguing that "Politics is not dead in this country, it's just heavily sedated."

Talking to Artrocker Magazine, the Sheffield solo star and former Pulp guitarist said: "I think we are at a point in time where we have to decide which side of the line we stand on. I just think our horizons are being lowered daily by people in parliament and I don't really see where they're going as being a good thing."

In the interview, Hawley also discusses the value of the NHS, where working class political debate has gone and whether or not the Longpigs will ever reform.
