Richard Hawley to release new LP ‘Standing At The Sky’s Edge’
The Sheffield songwriter embarks on a "seismic shift in direction" - and embraces psychedelia
Richard Hawley has announced that a new album, titled Standing At The Sky’s Edge, will be released on 7 May via Parlophone. It will be his first since 2009's True Love's Gutter.
Hawley's sixth album was recorded at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studio in 2011, and has been described as "a seismic shift in direction" and "a euphoric, sonic assault on the senses" with elements of psychedelia and space rock.
Hawley said himself of the record: “I wanted to get away from the orchestration of my previous records and make a live album with two guitars, bass, drums and rocket noises!”

4. Down In The Woods
5. Seek It
6. Don’t Stare At The Sun
