The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess announces memoir
'Telling Stories' is named after the classic 1997 album - which will also be performed live this June
Tim Burgess has written a memoir titled Telling Stories, which will be published by Penguin on 26 April.
According to the publishers, the book "describes the mad life of a rock star: the dynamics of the band, the creativity and the self-destruction, the sex and the drugs but also the rock 'n roll".
The book will be launched on Wednesday 25th April at St James Church London, with a night of music, chat and a chance to ask Tim questions about his new book. Tim will also be playing new songs from his forthcoming solo album, and each ticket holder will get a free signed copy of the book.
On a final note - and as you've probably guessed by now - Telling Stories is named after The Charlatans' classic album of the (almost) same name - which the band will be performing live at the following dates:
Manchester O2 Apollo (June 1)
London HMV Hammersmith Apollo (8)
Glasgow Barrowland (9)
Tickets are available now.
