The Drums will release their new album Portamento on 12 September via Moshi Moshi.

Main man Jonny Pierce had this to say:

"This new album touches on everything from my extreme religious roots to transgenderism to violence, and of course there's plenty of heartbreak stuff, which I couldn't get away from even if I tried".

The band play a few London dates in September before heading to Bestival. Those dates are Hoxton Bar & Kitchen (5), The Lexington (6), and XOYO (7).
