The National premiere new songs in Toronto

The epic rockers perform two new tracks during radio special

The National have aired live versions of two new songs, 'Rylan' and 'I Need My Girl', during a CBC Radio event in Toronto.

Frontman Matt Berninger described them as being " "much less cerebral and academic and much more immediate and visceral than usual".

The National are shortly expected to commence work on their next album.
