Unheard Libertines demos to be auctioned this weekend

Alan McGee is auctioning off his music memorabilia this Saturday [25 February] including never-before heard demos by The Libertines.

The Creation Records guru said he was selling up to break away from the past, telling the Manchester Evening News:

"If anyone asks if I'm selling all this stuff because I'm skint, it's not true: I live in a very big house in the country."

The auction, which also features rare early Oasis recordings, goes ahead in Stockport this weekend.
