Singles for the week starting 17th September!
Two tasty indie releases this week.
Fractures
Satyr EP
(Unsigned)
****
"Is there anything I can do for you?" Yes Fractures, there is actually. You can keep making rose tinted, romantic, Suede influenced guitar music of this ilk until the cows come home. The band may suffer from always being a hairs breadth away from hitting the mark as they did with last single 'Ride' but there's promise of development in this EP. Expanding their horizons will only be a good thing, Fractures are a band who are good enough to shortly join the likes of Tribes as being part of the reemerging early 90s Britpop sound within London.

Meursault
Dull Spark
(Song, By Toad)
***
Ignore the obvious comparions to the likes of Mumford and Sons, Meursault have a lot more gut than said folkies. 'Dull Spark' is lyrical lament backed by a driving 4/4 beat, swirling strings, and the rest. If big 'moments' are your thing, there's a lot here to enjoy.
